Description

The Echo1 ST6 M4 is one of Echo1’s most popular M4 AEG. Here we will look at the features and specs of this AEG. From the front of the gun, the ST6 M4 comes with a plastic orange bird cage flash hider. The triangle front sight is adjustable for elevation, right under the triangle front sight is a sling mount. The metal outer barrel is 10” long and is covered by a 7” metal quad rail system. The rail system provides plenty of space for mountable accessories such as vertical grip, flashlight, laser etc.

The body of the Echo1 ST6 M4 is made of polymer to be durable and lightweight at the same time. The rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation, it can also be removed to provide more space for another targeting system such as red dot sight or long range scope. The functioning charging handle can be pulled back to reveal the hop up unit. The motor grip is a standard M4 motor grip that provides a comfortable grip when handling the AEG

The 6 position retractable crane stock has a built in rubberized finish to help prevent slipping when shouldering the AEG. There is also a quick detach sling mount slot behind the adjustment lever. The battery compartment, which is also located in the stock, is set up to house nunchuck type batteries.

Internally, the Echo1 ST6 M4 utilizes a pre-upgraded 8mm version 2 full metal gearbox that allows the Echo1 ST6 M4 to operate smoothly and reliably even on 11.1V Lipo battery. Because the ST6 M4 utilizes a version 2 gearbox, the AEG will be able to accept a large variety of compatible aftermarket upgrade or repair parts. It is recommended to use a 9.6VNiMH or 7.4V Lipo battery to achieve a good rate of fire and reliability ratio. An 11.1V Lipo can also be used to achieve a higher rate of fire and quicker trigger response but with faster wear and tear rate compare to the less powerful batteries.

The hop up assembly of the Echo1 ST6 M4 consists of a 2 piece M4 hop up unit with a Madbull bucking and 247mm brass inner barrel. The inner barrel and hop up bucking can be replaced with many aftermarket parts to attain better precision and accuracy.

The Echo1 ST6 M4 comes with the AEG itself, a 300 round hi-cap magazine, 1 1500MaH 9.6V Ni-CD battery, standard wall charger, rail cover, and unjamming rod. The average bb velocity of the Echo1 ST6 M4 is around 390-400FPS, which is right at the limit for most outdoor field. With an upgraded internal gearbox set up and solid external build, the Echo1 ST6 M4 is a great choice for any intermediate level airsofter who are looking for a competitive level AEG for outdoor fields.
